Accountability
Every resident deserves to be heard. I recently attended a Commission meeting where I was not given the opportunity to speak. That experience was extremely frustrating and immediately reinforced my belief that local government should be open, respectful, and accessible to everyone. As your commissioner, I will always listen to the people I serve and ensure every voice has the opportunity to be heard.
Transparency
I’ve heard from many residents who feel disconnected from their elected officials because phone calls and emails go unanswered. That has to change. I will be an accessible commissioner who communicates openly, responds to constituents, and makes my contact information readily available. You deserve a representative who listens, responds, and keeps you informed. I will welcome dialogue. I will understand what I am being asked to vote on and welcome all productive engagement from residents and our local community in general. I will be able to articulate my understanding of agenda items, the feedback from residents that I have received and why I feel any vote I make is the best way forward for Collegedale and its residents.
Fiscal Responsibility
Every tax dollar belongs to the people of Collegedale. City government has a responsibility to spend those dollars wisely, transparently, and with accountability. I will work to ensure taxpayer money is managed responsibly, that spending decisions are made in the open, and that citizens have a meaningful voice in the priorities that shape our community.
